Chapter 5-Turkey Day

Hello everyone! This week was crazy as always, but I don't really feel like typing today haha -- so here is the quick rundown. Monday evening was a bit sad, because we were helping Elder Mitchell pack and we did some fun stuff around Jena before he left. That night we had a Familie-Heim-Abend activity that we had planned. We were going to build "temples" by stacking cards. It was really fun there are some pics. (Mine is hilarious b/c I had a little couple standing outside the temple haha), and after the activity we had some dope cinnamon rolls made by our senior missionary couple (I don't have pics cause we ate them all too fast). Tuesday was pretty normal day -- we reorganized our apartment a little after we dropped off Elder Mitchell at the train station. Wednesday was super awesome. While we were finding we ran into a guy that was really interested in talking about God and beliefs and he invited us over to his apartment for some herbal tea ...

Chapter 19- Alphabet Soup

This week was pretty good. We are finally starting to see some progress with some of the people we are teaching which is awesome. So one of our friends Kerstin has had a pretty hard life and she struggles to see the positive things in her life and so we have made it our goal to brighten her day and to help her feel the love of her heavenly father. We had a meeting with her on Wednesday last week, we had asked her to read a chapter from the book of Mormon and we highlighted a few verses in it. In the few weeks that she has been taught she hasn't kept commitments very well and we had begun discussing dropping her because she wasn't making any progress. But this week she had read the verses we highlighted and had a question about it!!!! It was really a miracle, and even though the progress is slow it's happening.
