Chapter 5-Turkey Day

Hello everyone!

This week was crazy as always, but I don't really feel like typing today haha   -- so here is the quick rundown.

Monday evening was a bit sad, because we were helping Elder Mitchell pack and we did some fun stuff around Jena before he left. That night we had a Familie-Heim-Abend activity that we had planned. We were going to build "temples" by stacking cards. It was really fun there are some pics. (Mine is hilarious b/c I had a little couple standing outside the temple haha), and after the activity we had some dope cinnamon rolls made by our senior missionary couple (I don't have pics cause we ate them all too fast).
Tuesday was pretty normal day -- we reorganized our apartment a little after we dropped off Elder Mitchell at the train station.

Wednesday was super awesome. While we were finding we ran into a guy that was really interested in talking about God and beliefs and he invited us over to his apartment for some herbal tea and to talk some more. He is from a Muslim background, but is very open to lots of ideas. We talked with him for a long time and then promised to get him a Persian Book of Mormon -- his german is really good, but it is easier for him to read in fharsi. We invited him to our thanksgiving party that our Senior missionary couple was hosting on that Friday evening and he came! It was really nice b/c we also had our other Muslim friend Mohammad and so they spoke fharsi together and became good friends! Our thanksgiving party was super fun, and we made these little Turkeys with feathers on them that said what we were thankful for. We also had the Sisters there from our district and one of them speaks Fharsi (like I am learning turkish) and so she was able to talk with them a little too which was awesome.

Also, we had a cool little miracle this week. We have been praying and trying to find a family, but it is difficult b/c we live in a pretty young college town and we really didn't have very much luck. On Saturday we felt that we should drop by on a less active family in our ward to invite them to our chirstmas party next week. But they weren't home -- but as soon as we turned around we saw a family that was taking our their garbage. We went to talk to them and told them that we are missionaries and would love to share a message with them about Jesus Christ and so we exchanged contact info to set something up!

We had lots of appointments with people throughout the week and we also ordained Sochima to the Aaronic Priesthood on Sunday which was super awesome.

Love you all
