Again... I'm sure you all know all about Corona. So here is the little update that you probably haven't heard.
So last Monday was normal, we could still talk on the streets. Tuesday, we could hold meetings but no street contacting. Wednesday was day 1 of our quarantine. We are now on day 6. Thursday we found out very suddenly that 25 missionaries would be going home. This is in addition to the 10 senior couples and 12 young missionaries from Wave 1. Our mission got majorly rearranged on Thursday. My companion Elder Schmid was one of the 25 that was sent home. My new companion is Elder Steanson and we are having a good time being locked up all day. We can leave to go shopping and for exercise and short walks once a day. It really hasn't been so bad.
The week before Corona we had 17 appointments. Last week being quarantined we still had 13 video call appointments even with all the craziness. The work moved forward :)
Our friends are doing well and we are definitely receiving increased help and support from the members (mostly b/c they also now have nothing to do haha).
We are pretty lucky to have a lot of friends to work with during this time. We haven't yet had a lot of down time, but I'm sure we'll get creative this week with the way we use technology. We are excited to be trying out new ways to do missionary work. Our mission president said his best guess is between 3 weeks and 2 months. So we'll see how this all pans out. :)
