Chapter 66

Hallo Everyone!

This week was super solid. We had lots of appointments and me and Elder Schmid are having a blast.
Just a quick update on some stuff.
Sprach Cafe is dying down a little bit, so we are gonna go ham this week and get lots of people to come. It's gonna be great. We are going to go to the German Schools in the area and have another street display focused on the Cafe.
We have continued teaching Patrick and Elisabeth and that is going really well. They are both so fun to teach because they are actual germans and so I can really expand my vocabulary and use big words haha.

This Sunday we had a cool miracle. So a while ago we were talking to a guy on the U-Bahn and we ended up inviting him to sprach cafe and gave him an invitation, but then the guy sitting across from us asked for an invitation as well. He ended up coming twice to Sprach Cafe and then the second time he came he was asking about the church and the Sisters ended up giving him a Persian Book of Mormon. This Sunday he even came to church! He really enjoyed it and was able to meet a few of our Persian members as well, so that was pretty cool. We have his number now and hope to start teaching him! This Sunday our other friend Raul was also able to make it to church and so it was a good day. Our other 2 friends had to work and couldn't make it (but at least they had a legit excuse).

We also helped out at a street display in stadthagen and it was super warm and sunny and I was so happy. I wore just a sweater for the majority of the time. Then the wind started to pick up.... like a lot. It actually blew our table over and sent all of our papers flying. Elder Schmid and I were in the middle of a conversation with someone when it blew over and so while they all gathered the papers and fixed the table I continued the conversation with the man. We had a good laugh about it and then had a really good conversation -- at the beginning he said that he was pretty content with his belief as is, but as I told him about the Book of Mormon and a little bit about the restoration it really sparked his interest and he said, you know maybe I could build my faith a little more. It was at the very end of the display after 3 hours of little success. It was a nice way to end.

Thanks for all your responses and support.
- Elder Johnson
