Chapter 56-Ya, it's going really good

Hello everyone!

I'm starting to get really lazy with weeklies so I'm sorry if this one is bad.

This week was very average -- there weren't a ton of things going on. The highlight of the week was Rosti. We had a really good "cottage meeting" with him and our bishop. Our mission has recently really focused on the important of getting members involved in the work and bringing our friends to member's houses to have them help teach and so they can make more friends. Rosti came over to bishops and it was a really awesome lesson and Rosti's problem with the idea of truth was really answered. We talked about how there is so much truth everywhere but also of the importance of finding "the truth" and we talked about the great apostasy and the need for the restoration again. It was really good. So we will be moving his baptism back just a little bit, to the 23 or the 30th (we are still figuring out stuff with his family to see which is better). But we are really excited for him.

But ya, it's going really good.

We have found a few new people this week, and we'll see how it goes!

Since this is short I'll just leave a little thought about prayer.

On my mission I have really come to understand that prayer is so much more than just saying words and hoping they come true. It is a real conversation with our father in heaven. If we ask real questions and expect real answers they will come. I think one of the most imporant parts of prayer is to prepare ourselves to receive revelation. Recently i have started keeping a notebook next to me when I pray and when I have thoughts and impression I write them down. Then I try and implement the thoughts I had and then follow up with the Lord. It is a really important pattern, we need to follow up with ourselves and the errands that the lord gives us. It has really shown me that God is there and listening -- sometimes we just have to do a little more on our part to recieve and then be prepared to act on the answers we receive.

I don't talk a lot about my thoughts about my mission. Most of the time I just give an update on whats going on. But really my mission has been the most valuable experience of my life and I wouldn't trade it for anything. Just being to able to serve and care for the people here in Germany is so amazing. There are so many diverse cultures and so many things to learn from each of them. I really love being here and spending some time giving back to God -- who gave me everything. :)

(also we made some dope videos at night -- see below :)  (jk I have to send a drive link )
