So as of tomorrow I will be 1 whole year in Germany. That is one whole year without the american freedom haha. I miss Merica. But Deutschland is pretty sick and also btw we got transfer calls and so I am staying in Berlin again and will be training again! I'm hype for another trainee they are so fun and full of fire and energy which is always lit. I'll be sad to say bye to Elder Rich but it's ok cause he is not going too far -- he's just going to the OFFICE! Which is in Dahlem in Berlin and so I'll basically see him all the time.
This last week has been crazy busy. At the beginning of the week we had 16 appointments planned and we ended with 18! A few fell out and we had a few spontaneous and so it was a really really good week. It's the busiest I have been on my whole mission.
So many cool stories too -- I think the coolest one is we were calling through our area book and we found a member that hadn't been to church in 6 years but she invited us over. She also invited her neighbor over for the discussion. Turns out she just had some disagreements with the ward in the past but she wants to come back! Her neighbor is just the sweetest lady ever and they both said they are going to come to church next week and we are meeting them again this week.
Also this week we had 4 first-appointments with new friends and they all went really well and all of them want to meet again! It has been such a good time. On Saturday we had an appointment with one of our new friends, but it was the same day as the Ward-temple trip -- so the entire ward was gone traveling to Freiberg, but the problem was that we were teaching a woman and so we needed a 3rd person there -- but we couldn't find anyone. So we asked our friend Daniel (who is also still learning about the church) to come with us and be a joint teach/ join the discussion. He knows a lot about the church and it was really awesome to see him bear testimony about the church to someone who didn't know anything. It was really helpful for him, and I think the coolest part is when he bore testimony that the church really is restored through the prophet Joseph Smith and that it is the true church on the earth today.
I am really excited for this upcoming transfer and to keep working with all of our wonderful friends.
Since it was Elder Rich's last week here, we took a lot of pictures with members and friends. :)
