Chapter 50-Some Stuff

Hello everyone! Not a whole ton to update on, but just wanted to share a couple thoughts.

This week we have continued to pray about what Book of Mormon's to bring before we go out for the day. This week we saw some more cool miracles. The coolest one was definitely on Saturday. We didn't have a whole lot planned so we were on the streets for 5-6 hours for the day and at the start we weren't having a ton on success, but we just kept going. I've notice how important it is just to be happy as we do our work. It makes soooo much of a difference -- not just for us, but also for all the people we talk to. When we stop people on the street and are laughing and smiling people are way more likely to stop and talk to us that when we are sad and don't want to be doing what we are doing.

Anyway, so on Saturday we had a lot day of street contacting and towards the very end of the day we had only had a handful of meaningful conversations and a lot of rejections -- also it was raining on and off the whole day and we had forgotten our umbrellas so that was also a rip -- but then we were heading back to the church and one of the last people we stopped was this pretty cool student that was studying in Berlin. We were talking for about 10 minutes about faith and prayer and we started talking about the Book of Mormon. We asked her where she was from and she said Bulgaria and little did I know, but Elder Rich had brought a Bulgarian Book of Mormon with him. When he pulled it out she was blown away haha. She thought we were stalking her or something -- not really but she was just making jokes. But we just told her how much God loves her and how the Holy Ghost can give us impressions and thoughts so that we can help and bring other people closer to God. She was really interested and said "i have a lot more questions" and she really wanted to meet so we can answer more of her questions. I just love being a part of this work. I know that I am not the cause of all these miracles -- I know that is God. I know he is there, and I know he loves all of his children individually.

We also have been meeting with all of friends still -- Su said he wants to be baptized and was asking us all the things he needs to learn and do to be baptized! We wanted to set a date, but his schedule is so crazy because he is moving to Aachen (but he needs to find a apartment, so he is really switching back and forth till he can do that -- and also he is going on vacation to china for 2 weeks) soo he'll get baptized in Aachen in a few weeks. He is just so prepared for the gospel and is doing everything he can to live it.

We are super excited to hear from the Prophet and Apostles this coming weekend at General Conference! You all should watch it! There are so many good talks and it always builds and strengthens my faith. We hope that our friends watch it too!

That's about all for now! Love you all
- Elder Johnson
