(Changing Numbers on Chapters to match the weeks Ezra has been in Germany.)
Hello my wonderful friendos.
So this week was kinda long, but with a few cool highlights.
But first a quick update --
Alex is doing well in Wurms after his move
We don't really have contact with Bhavin at the moment
Patrick was on vacation in Slovakia, but he is actually staying there now which makes us super sad :( -- we are trying to see if we can get something to work in Slovakia
Our other friends are on vacation still, we this week was a lot of street contacting again.
But here are some cool highlights. Since we travel on trains a lot we have tried to start a lot more conversations with people in the trains. It is kinda awkward at first, but also rewarding because they can't really tell us 'Keine Zeit' aka no time... because they are litterally sitting on a train haha. But we had some really cool conversations with people this week -- nothing really came of it, but it was cool nonetheless.
We also have finally set up another appointment with an older german woman that said she has read almost the whole Book of Mormon, and the appointment is tomorrow so I hope it finally works out.
The coolest part of the week was that we got to meet with the family that we found last week! They moved here from Nigeria and they already have such strong faith and are just super awesome. We talked about the Book of Mormon with them and as we were reading a passage out loud the father said 'Ya, this sounds like the word of God' and I think he recognized the Spirit. We talked about Moronis Promise at the end of the Book of Mormon, that it isn't just enough to read a little and believe it is true based off of logic or based off of feelings, but that God can really communicate with us in our own personal way. We invited them to read and pray about the Book of Mormon and ask God if it was true. The father expressed how badly he wanted God to talk with him, but that he thinks that he doesn't have enough faith. We read part of Alma 32 with them that in order to increase our faith, the first step is to just have a desire to believe. If we have a desire, then our faith will increase and God can really talk to us --- maybe not in some big and eventful way, but in a way that is personal to us, so that we can really recognize it. The kids are little and were just running around pretty much the whole lesson, but the parrents were able to manage them pretty well and stay focused. There was also about 30 seconds when we were testifying of Jesus Christ, that all three kids were sitting down listening and everyone was quiet and it was a very cool moment. I'm so greatful for the gospel of Jesus Christ and I know that he is the center. He is the center of our lives and that it is only through him that we can return to love with our loving Father in Heaven.
Also when we did service this week we got to pick Cherries and Johanisberries for a few hours which was lit. Here's some pics
Also a guy in our english class works at haribo.... he hooked us up FAT
