Chapter 31-Crazy Story and More Turks

This week was crazy fast and we had some funny stories.

So first off, we have been teaching this older German lady that is really funny, but she low-key has dementia.... Well, idk... we don't really know but she is just kinda crazy. Anyway, so we were teaching her about prayer and the spirit and how we communicate with God. She said she was very familiar with prayer and that she prayed every morning and evening. We showed her how we pray and asked her if she wanted to try it. Well, very long story short. I don't think she really understood prayer.... after giving a few examples I had an idea. I said "You know when I was a kid my parents would say a prayer and after each sentence I would repeat what they said so that I could learn how to pray. So I suggested that we try that.... I started my saying "Liebe Gott"... and she repeated it, then I said "Wir danken dir fuer diesen schoenen Tag" and she just stared and me with her eyes wide open and ya. Anyway, she is a very sweet old lady and really enjoys coming to church, I just don't think it is very possible to teach her very much...

But we also had some good appointments with some new people this week and I hope that they will keep making progress. A lot of times we meet with someone once or twice and they lose interest and that's ok because all our job is to teach and share what we have learn and what we believe and INVITE others to do the same. Our success isn't dependent on what others choose, we just do what God expects of us. I hope that everyone decides to accept the Gospel, but sometimes it is just not the case.

I also had the chance of doing some more Turkish translations. One man, that I have been translating for for a while, has read the whole Book of Mormon and wants to get baptized! But he has some problems with his family, and so please keep him in your prayers. Also the Zwickau sisters found a whole Turkish family! And they have started coming to church and they read the Book of Mormon and everything. It is a lot more of a challenge for me to translate for them because there are a lot of them and it is noisy with a bunch of small kids and stuff, but it is going well.

Not a whole lot of an update but the work is going well. I am also staying a 4th transfer in Werdau! It's gonna be hype.
