Hello All,
Last week was pretty darn slow. We are all so ready to leave the MTC and get to work in the field. It it crazy to me though, that we have been here for 2 months and are leaving so soon. I am ready to go, but don't feel entirely prepared. It is really scary, but exciting. We were supposed to get our flight plans/itineraries on Friday last week but for whatever reason we didn't so the weekend was a little but grueling because we were so excited for Monday to get our flight plans. We finally got them and we are leaving the travel office here at a lovely 3am. Our flight is around 8 and then we fly into JFK and then straight to Berlin. We will be traveling for a total of exactly 24 hours from when we leave the travel office at the MTC and when we land in Berlin. (It's a 8 hour time difference for anyone wondering -- which makes our arrival time at 11am the next day in Berlin).
This week we also had the new German Elder and Sisters come in. I got really close with the last set of Germans and I'm sure I'll see many of them in Berlin. I kinda didn't want to get to close with the new Elders and Sisters here since I only have a little over a week with them, but they are super chill and all-around really good missionaries and so I have formed some great friendships with them as well. (Don't worry my 6-week German friends I still love you too). But, again today we get 10 new Hungarian Elders and 2 Hungarians sisters. I will only see them all for about 4 days, but I hope I can be a good example to them and I hope that our Zone stays in touch a little bit during the mission. It is sad to leave everyone, but I am really excited to start a new chapter.
One of the highlights from this week was our Online Skype lesson. We skyped with a native turkish member that is living in Palestine at the moment. We were all very nervous going into it, but it went really well and we were able to understand her and her story and to have an actually discussion and conversation rather than just talking at her. It was a great confidence booster and I realized that I knew a little more Turkish than I give myself credit for --- yet at the same time I know that when I get there I am going to completely change my mind about what I just said.
Sorry this week was a little shorter than normal. I'm sure next week I'll have tons to report on!
Till then, Much Love

Turkish people don't have a lot of Hymns so we translated "Be Still My Soul" this week in class and I love it (also my teachers handwriting is dope)
