Week 3

A couple people asked about the breakdown of the word "Mukemmellestirilebileceksinizdir"  picture with the breakdown of the word -- basically though it is mukemell which means perfect and then like 10 different suffixes that show future tense, abilitative and things like that.

There are also 6 Hungarians sisters and the 1 hungarian Elder leave in less than 2 weeks now, so then it will just be the turkish trio in my room. It is really sad cause I have gotten very close to a lot of them. But I'm sure I'll see them someday.

Sundays are pretty fun, I have sacrament at 8:30 in the morning, but we as the Turks have been sacrament coordinators so we go extra early to prepare and study afterwards. Then after the normal block we eat lunch and then come back for some gospel discussion stuff, or go on a ponder walk to some of the really huge murals in the new buildings. We still sleep in the old buildings though which is kinda meh -- my fitted sheet comes off every single night no matter how hard I try, but we get so switch out sheets (we dont have to wash them) every wednesday so maybe i'll get a better pair this week (i am convinced that my bed is just larger than everyone elses tho).

P-days are kinda just up to us. We put in our laundry at 6:00 this morning cause if you go any later it gets super crazy. Then we are emailing and switching stuff around till we are done. Then we will go back and study for a little while and then do some more emails and then go to the temple at 1:00 (we have to go at 1:00 cause it is our assigned time). We have exercise time at 8:50 everyday and breakfast at 7:00 so we just study in between.

We have service once a week where we clean bathrooms or vacuum the halls and that is at 6:30 on Thursday morning which makes the middle of the week rough since we get up early on p-day and then get up early on Thursday as well. One of the old teachers left last week cause BYU started up, so now we just have the 2.

The speaker last night was awesome. He was from the presidency of the seventy, and he got up and said "I had a talk all prepared but the spirit wants me to talk otherwise" so he ripped up his talk and just spoke about some awesome stuff for like an hour. I felt that I received a lot of personal revelation. When I was studying a little bit earlier today I came across this scripture
D&C 42: 61
61 If thou shalt ask, thou shalt receive revelation upon revelation, knowledge upon knowledge, that thou mayest know the mysteries and peaceable things—that which bringeth joy, that which bringeth life eternal.

After all the personal revelation from the speaker last night, this scripture really hit home and I think it's gonna be my "mission scripture" cause I still haven't really chosen one yet.
One of the days this week was really funny. In the cafeteria there was a guy that stacking cups. He got to like 8 and then every started cheering after each one. (see the link to my photo album to see the video-- ill send a link each week)

This week when we were playing sand volleyball as a zone the sand was really wet in one corner so we started building sand castles as a joke. But we were also playing elimination volleyball so if you mess up then you go out till one team wins. After you would get out you went over to the castles to build the empire haha. The funny thing is 1/2 of the wet sand was in the actually volleyball court and so we would play around it and try not to hit it with the volleyball. (see the attached photo of our castle)

It's been a struggle to write in my journal each night cause our district/zone loves to hangout and talk and so I run out of time each night to record stuff in my journal. All my entries have been pretty short this week, but I have had some awesome learning experiences. I am also finally getting a little better at planning and using my time effeicently. Cause it may seem that we have tons of time, but it really flies by if you aren't focused -- so im getting better at studying habits and it is really helps.

Here is some random stuff that happened.
We learned some casual talk "Neaber Kanka" means "what's up bro"
In our district we call ourselves the "Ottoman Empire" since the Turks once ruled over the Albanians. Our "Squadoman Empire" --get it haha Squad.
In one of our class prayers this week I meant to say "Sizi seviyoruz Cennetteki Babamiz" which means "We love you heavenly father" But instead I said "Bizi seviyoruz  Cennetteki Babamiz" which means "we love ourselves" -- my teacher got a good kick out of it and was laughing during my prayer haha.

Oh also, everyone is getting sick here and it spreading like a wildfire. I'm not sick but one of my companions is and 4 people in my district are and then like another 4-5 in my zone (that live on my floor). So i am trying to drink gallons of water and eat salads and stuff so I dont get sick -- also praying really hard that I don't get sick.

Oh ya, my companions and I got extended the assignment (cause it's not a calling) to be the new zone leaders for our zone. The polish zone leaders leave in a week and so we will offically start on sunday. They said it is super awesome to be the zone leaders and that it really isn't that much extra work. There are 67 or so people in our zone and I maybe know like 1/2, so I better get rolling.

Sorry this email was kinda totally all over the place -- but really thats how my life is here: all over the place. So this email is probably a great representation of what actually goes down here. But I love it nonetheless and I can feel myself becoming better and having a mighty change of heart.

Love you all!
